Oberlin-Wellington Rescuers.

Above is a photograph of the Oberlin-Wellington Rescuers who took fugitive John Price from officials tasked with returning him to a slave-owner in Kentucky. Charles H. Langston (12) arranged Price's safe passage to Canada. Only Langston and Simeon Bushnell (9) went to trial for aiding a fugitive. Photo Courtesy of the Oberlin College Archives.
